Mo College Abhijan
The CLC (college level committee) of “Mo College Abhijan” was constituted on 20.12.2019 with Smt. Sujata Pradhan, Principal ,as the chair person and Smt. T. mishra, asst. prof. of Economics, as the coordinator of MCA.
Since its inception, the MCA committee is working aggressively to reach out to its alumni and connect them with the Alma matter. Under the aegis of MCA, the first ever Alumni Meet was organised in the college campus on 12. 01. 2020.Ex -students ranging from 1966 to 2019 batches attended the meeting. The chair- person, the co – Ordinator briefed them on the goals and aspirations of MCA. Senior faculty members reminisced the old memories and shared them with the gathering.The Alumni were highly pleased to see the warm welcome and enthusiastic initiative of the committee members. Honorable Alumni members also shared their views and visions. Some of them were very excited to see the grownup plants they have planted as NSS volunteers. The meeting was a grand success.
Subsequently two interactive sessions of Alumni with the current students as part of Motivational and Carreer Counselling Programme were organised.
On 25th Feb, 2020,Mr. Nikhil Kalakar Pradhan, an eminent sports person of SAIL, and an athlete of National repute shared his experiences . His journey from being a boy next door to a successful sports personality at the national level inspired the students greatly.He also clearly spelt out the pros and cons of adopting any sports as a career which highly benefitted the current sstudents.
On 28th FEB, 2020,, Mr. Surya Rashmi Das, a budding Dramatist, enthralled the students with his story. His career in drama started from a NSS camp of the college.then he trained well under MR. Bijoy kumarBhol of the college and never looked back.A very young artist , he made everybody proud with his talent and composure. His transformation from a rigid teenager to a refined artist inspired one and all.
The MCA activities got a set back due to covid-19 pandemic
On 9thfeb , 2021, the CLCof MCA got reconstituted .Two alumni and 3 members from various fields , nominated by the principal were included.
T he chair_ person and the convenor of MCA attended a webinar through ZoomAPP.
On 21st March MCA was officially launched by the Honourable Chief Minister of ODISHA. The college participated in the ceremony live. Dr. Devendra kumar Behera, Ex- Principal, Govt. autonomous college,Rourkela an eminent educationis and Dr.AtanukumarTripathy, ex -reader in chemistry as well as a nominated member of the MCA supported the students, staff and alumni members by their gracious presence.
The MCA will again bustle with activities, once the pandemic subsides.the committee solicits the co- operation of the Alumni of the college in every field of action so as to drive the institution to a new height of success.
