Admission Procedure

A Brief Report On Admission In To UG Courses

e-Admission is essentially an integrated part of SAMS (Students’ Academic Management System) Project which provides opportunity for fair and transparent admission. During this session, 169 Junior Colleges and 60 Degree Colleges all over Orissa are covered up under this Project. An applicant with requisite qualification (as detailed in Common Prospectus) can apply at any of these colleges (Applied College) to study at any college (Destination College). However an applicant seeking admission into +2 1st year class can opt for maximum six (06) choices and an applicant seeking admission into +3 1st year class can opt for ten (10) choices. Selection is done centrally at Bhubaneswar and lists for different selections are downloaded at college level for information of the applicants and the concerned colleges.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

As the project is new to general education, Government have been pleased to provide necessary assistance to the applicants though HELP DESK. HELP DESK functions between 10 AM and 5 PM on all working days during the period as scheduled by Government. Applicants are to fill in a CAF (Common Application Form) manually with help of HELP DESK Officers, enter it online at their own cost which will be sent to the central Data Base by the Applied College. While submitting the Hard Copy (College Copy & Applicant Copy) of the CAF at the HELP DESK, the applicant has to deposit Rs.100/- for the first option and Rs.50/- each for subsequent option(s). The Applied College will return the Applicant Copy to the applicant. The Applicant Copy is to used as Money Receipt - cum Index Number (MRIN) for all purposes of admission.

VALIDATION

A team of staff members of the Applied College will validate all the important data of the CAFs online.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Selection will be done and Merit List will be prepared centrally at Bhubaneswar considering marks secured, weightage and reservation of the applicants.

Applicants who has applied under any reservation Category but selected on merit shall not be counted as an applicant admitted against reserved seat.

Weightage of an applicant shall not exceed 10% of the marks secured.

Maximum 10% of the total seat of the stream shall filled up on weightage basis. For details of admission procedure, the Common Prospectus may be referred.

ADMISSION

Selected applicants shall take admission on the scheduled dates.

NB- The Authority of this College shall not be responsible for any wrong entry / wrong validation in the CAFs submitted at other Colleges

The Authority reserves the right to deny admission on the ground of wrong entry or wrong validation.

Unless directed by Government, no undertaking shall be entertained for original Mark Sheet/SLC/CLC/TC/ Caste Certificate /Residential Certificate/other Certificate for claim of Reservation/ Weightage.

In any matters of admission the decision of the Principal shall final.

CONTENTS OF IMPORTANT LETTERS REGARDING E-ADMISSION

  1. As per Govt. Order No. VIII. HE-MA-4/07-15040 (16), dt. 12.05.2010, SC/ST applicants may produce original Land Pass Book in place of Caste Certificate issued by Revenue Officer not below the rank of Addl. Tahasildar as proof of their caste.

    Certificate /document issued by no other Authority shall be accepted as proof of caste certificate.

  2. Total Admission Fees minus Rs. 100 will be refunded to the applicants who have taken admission on the basis of Ist selection and go for IInd selection admission as per IInd selection list and SC/ST extension seat for their higher options in the CAFs. Such money refund shall be done on proper acknowledgment.

    However no money shall be refunded for Balance /Vacant Seat Admission. List of Money Refund cases shall be notified. Applicants are advised to go through the Notice Board.

  3. Applicants who, by mistake, apply at more ‘than one colleges shall be merged. Such applicants may consult the Admission in-Charge for merging the applications in the prescribed form.
